Sounds like pump.cost no sure.remove old drain pump first before buying a new one as they can get jammed up with fluff ck If your tumble dryer is not level, the water might not be able to travel to the tank and will instead spill out.

Just did what u said no water getting pumped out. Another reason that the hotpoint tumble dryer might not be heating up or blowing cold air is that the thermal fuse might have blown, or it might have tripped.
